1S had a special visitor today. Isla's dad is a police officer and he spoke to us about staying safe when using our roads. The children demonstrated that they are very knowledgeable on this topic and they asked many good questions. Isla's dad had an accident earlier this year in the course of duty and as a result, lost his right leg. He now uses an artificial limb. Thank you very much Jono for coming to share with us.
Thanks Isla for sharing your family and experiences with us.
We have been learning to find out how heavy items are by hefting and by using informal equal units such as uifix cubes and base ten blocks.
To our Year 12 buddies: Goodbye, good luck and God bless.
Congratulations for your effort in Mathematics Marlie and Sam.
